21/08/2008 - Theoretical-Practical Rhinoplasty - 2nd Course

On 21st and 22nd August the second course about Theoretical-Practical Rhinoplasty took place, promoted by the IPO Hospital. The event took place in the hospital's amphitheater and included the participation of more than 90 Otorhinolaryngology doctors and residents from Paraná, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janiero, Rio Grande do Sul, Sâo Paulo and Espírito Santo, as well as Quito, Ecuador.
Some surgeries were transmitted live to the amphitheater, and the participants had the opportunity of interact with the surgeon, and some of them took part in the surgical center (hands on), under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
As well as Rhinoplasty surgery, Otoplasty was also performed (surgery to correct prominent ears) and Blepharoplasty (to correct the excess of skin or fatness in the upper and/or lower eyelids).
