29/07/2008 - Another Cochlear Implant surgery was successfully performed at IPO Hospital

On 29th July another Cochlear Implant surgery was successfully performed at IPO Hospital by Dr. Rogério Hamerschmidt.

The Cochlear Implant service started at IPO Hospital in August 2007 with the orientation of a team from the University of São Paulo - USP and Dr. Ricardo F. Bento. This surgery is intended to restore the auditory capacity of adults and children, and is already covered by some health plans.
