11/06/2008 - President of the Pan-American Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Marcos Mocellin, Otorhinolaryngologist part of the Body of Physicians at IPO Hospital, was elected President of the Pan-American Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, during the XXXI Pan-American Congress of Otorhinolaryngology, which took place in Quito, Ecuador from 4th to 7th June 2008.
Additionally Dr. Marcos "is proud to represent Brazil in this Association, that represents North, Central and South America".
The Pan-American Association has its Head Office in Miami, in the United States, and has been in existence for 60 years; Dr. Marcos is the second Brazilian to assume the position of president, which most of the time is held by North-Americans.
And on 17th June, Dr. Marcos Mocellin was awarded with the Vote of Commendation granted by the Federal Senate, from an application by Senator Álvaro Dias, having seen the importance at an international level of such a nomination.
