FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERIES

At IPO Hospital various doctors are qualified to perform Facial Plastic Surgery, in additional to the usual ear, nose and throat surgeries.

Facial Plastic Surgery can be performed to solve structural problems, for example, bad nose formation, reconstruction of regions of the face deformed due to accidental traumatic causes and also to correct some unpleasing facial imperfection, such as wrinkles.

With the use of the most advanced techniques, modern materials and devices, the recuperation time has diminished and the results improved, mainly due the use of local anesthesia with sedation, accompanied the entire time by the medical Anesthetist, so the risks of surgery are minimized.

Blefaroplasty

The name given to surgery performed to eliminate the excess of skin and fat (eye bags) accumulated in the lower and upper eyelids. This surgery provides a rejuvenated face, because it raises the countenance eliminating the appearance of tiredness and softening crow’s feet.

Endoscopic Frontoplasty

Surgery performed with the aid of endoscopy and provides the rejuvenation of the upper third of the face (forehead) through imperceptible cuts made in the scalp that permit the correction of forehead wrinkles and repositioning of the eyebrows.

Facelift

The objective of the facelift is to reposition and remove the excess of aged skin tissues that cause muscular flaccidity, promoting facial rejuvenation and it can also lead to a small improvement in the neck and center of the face.

Liposuction

This procedure sucks the fat that has accumulated in the region of the face, chin and neck using delicate cannulas or ultrasound that "breaks" the molecules that store the fat, improving the contour and esthetics of the face. It also allows the injection of fat in the face for remodeling in the case of rejuvenation surgery.

Otoplasty

The name of the surgery performed for the correction of prominent ears. The scars are practically imperceptible, as all the surgery is done at the back of the ear. The treatment is indicated from 7 years old, because from this age ear growth and development is not compromised. This surgery provides esthetical and often psychological improvement in the person.

Aesthetic or Revision Rhinoplasty

Corrects the nose without altering the natural characteristics of the face. It allows the physiognomy to become more proportional through the correction of existing imperfections. The surgery is performed totally inside the nose, under local anesthesia and can be associated with the correction of a deviated septum - Rhinoseptoplasty. The customary use of the nasal plug is not necessary.

Ritidoplasty or Lifting

Surgery performed in one or more regions of the face and neck with the aim of eliminating or at least minimizing expression wrinkles. It provides excellent results, as it allows for total facial rejuvenation.
