  • Auditory Processing Evaluation
    Examinations carried out on persons that demonstrate learning and concentration difficulties. 5 tests are applied in the course of the examination, which evaluate memory, attention and hearing.
  • Sound Field Audiometry
    Examination that performs Infant Behavioral Audiometry, suggested for younger children who do not permit the use of headphones and also for people using hearing aids, with the objective of measuring if the auditory capacity has increased and verify suitability.
  • Speech Audiometry
    Examination complementary to Tonal Audiometry.
  • Tonal Audiometry
    Tonal, Infant Behavioral, Behavioral and Occupational. Examination that verifies how much the person hears.
  • Nasal Cauterization
    Procedure performed to inhibit slight nose bleeds, it may be chemical (through medicines) or electrical (through a device called a cautery) that "burns" and scars the artery.
  • Nasal Cytology
    Examination that researches cells frequently present in the process of nasal inflammation, making use of nasal secretions.
  • Immunoglobulin Dosage - IgE

  • Esophageal Electromanometry

  • Digestive endoscopy
    An endoscopic examination that is carried out by means of fiber optics, where the images of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum are transmitted to a monitor, permitting a larger view of the region being examined. It helps in the diagnosis of diseases such as gastritis, ulcers, among other changes that cause symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, fullness, vomiting and burning sensation or of "a ball" caught in the throat.
  • Espirometry or Complete Respiratory Test
  • Swallow Study
    This is utilized to diagnose problems related to the digestion and swallowing of foodstuffs.
  • P-300 Study
    This examination is generally done on children with attention deficiency, scholastic learning difficulties and hyperactivity, who don't seem to understand what is being said to them. If this examination show positive results the person may be sent to start stimulation therapy with a Speech Therapist and thus be able to make an improvement or until a solution to the problem is reached.
  • Speech Therapy
    This is therapy carried out by a speech therapist to correct Oral Communication, Written and Hearing problems. Communication disorders could be vocal changes (nodules, polyps, cracks, etc.), speech articulation (difficulty to form sounds), language development (children who start to talk late or communicate unintelligibly), hearing (deaf individuals or with auditory processing disorders), writing (difficulties with reading or writing, letter changes in writing), eating (swallowing and chewing difficulties), breathing (individuals who breath through the mouth), etc. The Speech Therapist can also use psychomotricity techniques (awareness and coordination of body movements) as a strategy for treatment.

    All the work is carried out in conjunction with others professional, especially the Otorhinolaryngologists who will evaluate and indicate the most adequate therapy at the moment. The speech therapist may help in both pre and post-operative microsurgeries of the larynx, especially for vocal treatment.
  • Immitanciometry
    Detects diseases of the middle ear and concludes the Audiometry results.
  • Immunotherapy
    Indicated to aid the treatment of some types of Rhinitis. Vaccines are utilized to stimulate the formation of antibodies.
  • 24 hour pH-metry
    It is utilized for measure of acidity of the esophagus to diagnose Gastroesophageal Reflux.
  • Polysonography
    This examination is carried out in order to detect sleep related disorders, such as sleep apnea for example. The patient spends a night in a room prepared with specific equipment, through which various body functions are monitored during the time they are sleeping, such as breathing control, brain functions, etc.
  • Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAEP)
    It measures the auditory threshold (smallest sound intensity of a sound that can be perceived by the ear) in people who do not participate in conventional Audiometry (children of a young age, elderly, disabled or mentally deficient) and examines the auditory pathways. Prevents feigning of auditory loss cases due to noise at work. This examination can be used for pre-admissions and discharge tests.
  • Central Auditory Processing (CAP)
    This examination has the function of detecting auditory processing dysfunctions. These dysfunctions happen when the person has difficulty understanding what he is hearing. Generally hyperactive children, who, even without hearing problems, do not manage to understand the information that reaches the brain through hearing.
  • Tubal Function Rehabilitation
    Treatment indicated for people who exhibit poor auditory tube performance (covered ear sensation).
  • Vestibular or Labyrinthine Rehabilitation
    It is a treatment performed in an individual and personalized manner where physical exercises are used to increase the perception capacity of the balance system and decrease the intensity of symptoms such as the dizziness and vertigo, providing a better quality of life.
  • Cerumen Removal
    Procedure carried out to remove the excess of earwax, which can interfere with hearing.
  • Foreign body removal from the ear, nose or throat
    Procedure carried out to remove foreign bodies (grains, fishbone, among others) trapped in the nose, ear, in the respiratory tract or in the digestive tract. It can be done in the emergency consulting room and depending on the cooperation of the person and of the object introduced into the nose, ear or swallowed, it is recommended that the removal happens in the surgical center.
  • Tinnitus Retraining
    The objective of this treatment is to decrease the perception of tinnitus, through sonorous stimuli. Techniques are used with the intention of decreasing the uncomfortable noise constantly produced by the ears, in some cases being able to achieve the complete elimination of the symptom or at least being able to adapt to the problem.
  • SRT
    Examination complementary to Audiometry.
  • Tamponage
    Procedure carried out to contain serious bleeding and also in cases when cauterization does not provide satisfactory results.
  • Auditory Processing Therapy
    Treatment indicated for people with comprehension and language development difficulties.
  • Immediate reading allergy test
    It has the objective of aiding in the diagnosis of allergic rhinitis and discovering which of the allergens (elements that cause allergy) triggers the allergic process in the body.
  • Electronystagmography (ENG or VNG)

Children less than 5 years old and those who do not cooperate in completing this examination are advised that it is done in the surgical center.
